EEG
An Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a safe, non-invasive diagnostic test that measures and
records the electrical activity of the brain. Small metal electrodes are placed on the scalp to
detect tiny electrical signals — called brainwaves — produced by neurons in the brain. These
signals are amplified and displayed as waveforms that trained neurologists interpret to assess
brain function.
EEG is one of the most important diagnostic tools in neurology and is considered the gold standard for diagnosing epilepsy and seizure disorders. It also plays a critical role in evaluating sleep disorders, encephalopathies, brain injuries, and other neurological conditions.
At Padmashree Diagnostics, our EEG service is performed using advanced digital EEG equipment, with findings interpreted by experienced neurologists, delivering reliable and accurate results for your clinical needs.
